Effective Treatments...
I apply the evidence-based treatments below to support my patients in achieving their goals.
ACT
ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) is a type of psychotherapy that emphasizes mindfulness, acceptance of thoughts and feelings, and taking action based on personal values. It helps individuals develop psychological flexibility by learning to observe thoughts without judgment, accepting them, and then committing to actions aligned with their values. ACT is used to treat various mental health issues, like depression and anxiety, by promoting adaptive coping strategies and meaningful behavior change.
DBT
DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) is a form of therapy that teaches skills to manage emotions, improve relationships, and cope with distress. It combines mindfulness techniques with strategies for emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and tolerating difficult situations. DBT helps individuals achieve a better quality of life by balancing acceptance and change-oriented approaches.
EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a type of psychotherapy used to help individuals process distressing memories and trauma. It involves focusing on specific memories while experiencing bilateral stimulation (like eye movements), which is thought to aid in processing and reducing the emotional impact of these memories. EMDR is effective in treating conditions like PTSD.
IFS
IFS (Internal Family Systems) therapy focuses on understanding and harmonizing the different parts of a person's personality. It helps individuals explore and integrate these inner parts to achieve greater self-awareness and healing. IFS is used to address mental health issues and promote overall well-being by fostering inner balance and harmony.
